Basic Awareness Adult Protection - Level 1

Introduction to adult support and protection, roles, responsibilities. This course is suitable for new front-line multi-agency staff including statutory, independent, and voluntary stakeholders who require an overview of adults at risk of harm.

Adult Protection Training (Multi Agency) - Level 2

The overall aim of the adult support and protection practice level 2 (skilled) module is to support you in recognising adults at risk of harm and the processes involved in adult support and protection.

Adult Protection Training (Multi Agency) - Level 3

The overall aim of the adult support and protection practice level 2 (skilled) module is to support you in recognising adults at risk of harm and the processes involved in adult support and protection.

Second Worker

Roles and responsibilities of a second worker involved in adult support and protection (ASP) cases.

Appropriate Adult

Understand the role of at appropriate adult. The influencing factors for vulnerable people and the impact (emotions and reactions) of being in custody. Understand the processes of supporting a vulnerable person in custody and the support needs of an appropriate adult including the emotional impact and the need to debrief.

Council Officer Training

This training is aimed at registered Social Workers who have at least 12 months post qualifying experience of identifying assessing and managing adults at risk and will undertake a Council Officer role.

Council Officer Refresher

This training is aimed at registered Social Workers who have at least 12 months post qualifying experience of identifying assessing and managing adults at risk and will undertake a Council Officer role.

Safe and Together : An Introduction to the model

Introduction to the principles of the Safe and Together model.

Safe and Together Core Training

How to apply the principles of the Safe and Together model in practice. The course is a skills orientated foundation for domestic violence informed practice and is useful for staff working directly with perpetrators and survivors of domestic violence.

 

TURAS

TURAS also offers a range of e-learning short  courses covering a number of topics, including human trafficking and domestic abuse. 

TURAS is the digital learning platform developed by NHS Education for Scotland to support health and care professionals working in the public sector. TURAS Learn is for health and social care staff to find and record learning, including eLearning modules and courses. On the site you will find a variety of learning sites, eLearning modules, learning programmes and courses. 

TURAS is available to all health and social care staff.
